Absolutely. The only thing about that, is that the 'scientists' were all Greek, and the Romans stole their nomenclature. And they based their religion off of it. You know who 'Mars' is, right? Ares?
The farther off planets were not visible without a telescope.
Then the later scientists kept with the tradition.
Astrology used to be bigger than Astronomy, or religion! Still is, in some circles.
