Prophecy Of Daniel Chapter 9:26

[26] And after sixty-two weeks Christ shall be slain: and the people that shall deny him shall not be his. And a people with their leader that shall come, shall destroy the city and the sanctuary: and the end thereof shall be waste, and after the end of the war the appointed desolation. [27] And he shall confirm the covenant with many, in one week: and in the half of the week the victim and the sacrifice shall fall: and there shall be in the temple the abomination of desolation: and the desolation shall continue even to the consummation, and to the end.

"And after sixty-two weeks Christ shall be slain"
(some time after Jesus dies on the cross.)

"and the people that shall deny him shall not be his."
(then come a people who will deny him and His death on the cross. I believe these people are Muslims. Islam teaches that Jesus did not die on the cross but another died instead and that He is not The Christ. )

"And a people with their leader that shall come, shall destroy the city and the sanctuary: and the end thereof shall be waste, and after the end of the war the appointed desolation."
(It was not until the Dome of the Rock was built between 687 and 691 that the last remnants of the Temple were taken down. Therefore my belief is that a people with their leader are muslims and their leader was Muhammad and that the dome of the rock is the desolation)

"And he shall confirm the covenant with many, in one week: and in the half of the week the victim and the sacrifice shall fall and there shall be in the temple the abomination of desolation"
(after the antichrist has ruled for three and a half years (Because Christ preached three years and a half: and then by his sacrifice upon the cross abolished all the sacrifices of the law.) he, the antichrist will stand in the dome of the rock and declare himself God.)

"and the desolation shall continue even to the consummation, and to the end."
The Dome of the rock will stand until Jesus returns on the last day.
