The violations of international law inherent in the Gaza assault have been well documented: collective punishment, disproportionate military force [and] attacks on civilian targets, including hospitals, homes, mosques, universities, UN facilities, schools, media buildings. Israel could have had peace. Instead it shred the rest of any credibility it had with the rest of the world, every day that this action continues brings more horror - and causes even greater damage for Israel.

The developments on Gaza in the United Nations over the past two weeks should hopefully make the world realise that there is no international law, there is only American Law and Israeli policy which the world is forced to respect.
