"KOLOT", Opera Icono-sonora n.2 for 12 singers, mixed ensemble, electronics and visuals, Yuval Avital return to his homeland to create a poetic journey of sound and image.
KOLOT (in hebrew "voices") an observation of Israel in all its cultural complexity - old Jewish traditions, Christian and Muslim cultures, Ancient populations and contemporary reality which travel in cycles of pain, hope, holiness, memory, thirst and modern frenetic day life; clashing and merging, separating and joining. The voice as a symbol, as carrier of the sacred word, as an extension of individual and collective emotions, a testimony of life and reality.
