I see a much more sinister motivation behind the singularity myth. It will serve every corrupt purpose that organized religion has in the past, but with the technologically-produced illusion of omniscience and omnipotence.'The internet' knows everything you think, feel and do, because you tell it everything, which means the people/corporate entities who control the internet know everything about you, and how will that knowledge be employed to manipulate individuals and groups? The possibilities are limited only by your imagination. It will be a very convincing illusion of 'god', controlled by people with no ethics and no motive but to manipulate the world to their own advantage. I can't wait to see how they're gonna pull it off. Biggest. Scam. Ever.

Not arguing completly against being God either....

Without any type of hardship(even simulation) .

I have noticed that hardship(even in a computer game for example) causes success to be much better felt, so I am not arguing for not abolishing psychological pain/hardship. but perhaps its too boring to be fully knowing always omnipotent God.

That's the simple fact. . . . lovely . . .
