About Me:
Elvis : "Rhythm is something you either have or don't, but when you have it you have it all over"
Elvis: "I never expected to be anybody important".
Elvis: "I don't know anything about music in my line you don't have to"...and by that what he actually meant was let's leave the writing & dancing to 'his subjects' while he did the driving...and thats exactly what he did! So quit shooting your mouth off down on your knees paay your respects!
The most natural dancer with no practiced moves for this king who could drive you nuts with just a glance let alone a swivel of those famous hips was often banned from the waist below, now that should tell you somethin of THIS king's power. A mega movie star and a surefire hit was also the highest paid actor in Hollywood at that time; Not only could he play the guitar & piano pretty darn good but had he sung the phonebook you would've listened with pleasure! Giving almost 2000 Live Shows (without ever lip syncing A feat unheard even today) was super amaziin tho ain't surprising 'cause "That's the way it was and called the power of the king". Today's so called singers & performers are either caught lip-syncing or relying on sophisticated sound to do most of the job for them, and considering every Tom & Dick wanna be known as one, any wonder! Great tributes were paid to Elvis when he was alive and even more after his death the list being endless thought I'd give you a glimpse of just a few, take a look!
Jim Morrison: ( a legend himself) Elvis is the best ever, the most original. He started the ball rolling for us all."
Brad Laidman music writer: "Elvis is Number one for me and no one else comes close; Ignore for a second that Presley was the most beautiful human being of all time and that he was easily the most electric performer ever; he could sing anythin (rock, opera, metal, soul, blues country-no problem; All all the wonks will tell you he did his best work at Sun Records but for me his immense '50s RCA output is so explosive that it puts everyone else to shame; it's not just that Elvis had an amazing instrument, but no one ever had so much fun putting it to use; whirling back and forth from low to high, from raspy to angelically pretty, the only singer ever that could take any song and transform it into something that sounded like it came from somewhere else, a galaxy or two away."
Bill Clinton: "Elvis was the first and the best. He is my favorite of all time".
President Jimmy Carter: "Elvis Presley death deprives our country of a part of itself. He was unique & irreplaceable:"
Ronald Reagan: "He epitomised America, and for that we shall be eternally grateful. There will never be anyone else like him. Let's all rejoice in his music."
John Lennon : "Sanks for ze music Elvis. Long live ze King!" "Before Elvis there was nothing"... and "if it wasn't for Elvis there wouldn't be the Beatles"-John Lennon... and this was just one of his comments directed at ze king!)
Professor Rodman: "For a dead man Elvis Presley is awfully noisy"
Michael Jackson: They called Elvis the King, why not me?
Carl Perkins: "We've lost the most popular man that ever walked on this planet since Christ himself was here.
Madonna: Without Elvis You're nothing!"
Little Richards: "Elvis was God-given, there's no other explanation. A Messiah comes around every few thousand years and Elvis was it this time."
Bruce Springsteen: "Elvis had more talent in his toe nail that most If not ALL of So called stars of today. There are Pretenders & Contenders But there is only One King Elvis Presley!".
Chuck Berry: "Blacks didn't have the Airwaves Elvis Had. He delivered what he obtained beautifully. There Just ain't no words to describe Him. Elvis was the greatest there ever Was, is or will Ever be!"
Paul McCartney: Elvis has always been on Top-His records always made me feel good. I thought the Beatles had gold records until I had a private tour of Graceland... The Hall of Gold says it all. Elvis has the most Gold, Platinum & Multi-Platinum sales of all of us... Amazing man... Simply amazing and the reason for being called rightfully the king"
Elton John: Elvis was the true king and the greatest inspiration to me and to everyone. To even deny this is foolish... Its easier to do what we do today with the media and everything but Elvis had none Except his talent and so..."
Country:
United States
Interests:
and so sales will continue to increase. But keep in mind that in Elvis and the Beatles day one had to sell (ONE MILLION COPIES) for a single album to be certified Gold unlike today which is far easier with media population and everything, and THATS what makes the sales of records Especially of the Beatles & Elvis far more impressive and yet the Beatles themselves STILL never ceased being in awe of the king! It wasn't just fans but all time greats that called Elvis the king, while fans like presidents, prime ministers & royalty just made up a list of Never Ending. Where as now in the case of Michael Jackson who was very talented but was better known for his talent in dancing & lip-syncing rather than actual singing. With his soft voice and despite many of the gimmicks & special effects was certainly no match for Elvis' powerful vocals & range., not to mention Elvis' charisma! NOT Michael nor the Beatles with their two liner compositions (sorry!) or their ok enough vocals were any match for the king, but it sure took some balls for the Beatles to proclaim Elvis publicly as king unlike Michael who was most insecure; And tho he did admit the same in private privately yet couldn't get himself to say it in publicly! :-) Just goes to prove though that it took one great to recognize one that's even greater, and THAT was pretty gracious of them. And irrespective of your rants & raves let's just say its with no mean intention to belittle Michael nor the Beatles, in fact nothing's further from the truth but one's got to get real at times and admit that even the term "King of Pop' was self imposed by Michael himself who once even refused to go on stage unless announced as such; he wanted to be called THAT. And so, suppose you now tell me why weren't the Beatles, Michael Jackson or even Jim Morrison however talented or great never referred to, or ever called at any point of time "the king... WHYY??? And those that question as to WHY Elvis referred to that way, well there's tons of proof provided you aren't conveniently dumb, blind or an asshole, and hopefully if it wasn't clear then it is now and Even to an... "Asshole" right?? :-)) ♪♥≈♪≈♫♪≈♥≈ELVIS♪≈♫≈♥≈♫ELVIS♫≈♥≈The Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC named Elvis Presley The Greatest Entertainer of the 20th Century Source(s) The Recording Industry Association of America. ASCAP, BMI, Billboard Magazine, RCA Records/ EMI Records. And according to the R.I.I.A the governing body that certifies Gold, Platinum & Multi-Platinum Record Sales/Recording Industry ASSOCIA. of America have stated that the leading and ALL TIME ARTIST IN RECORD SALES IS Elvis Presley. Elvis is the leading sales artist for both Solo Artist & Group. Elvis has sold over 2.5 Billion Records worldwide (A Billion is ONE THOUSAND MILLION!) Elvis has been on the Charts more times than ANY other artist or group then or now. Elvis has the MOST hits in the Top 100, The Top 40, the Top 10 and has had 32 NO 1 Records. Elvis is the ONLY Artist inducted into The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, The Country Music Hall of Fame, The Gospel Music Hall of Fame & The Rythmn & Blues Hall of Fame and it keeps GROWING! Elvis is MORE successful than any other living performer or singer even after 35 years which is proof and unheard of in history!! The R.I.A.A. with the help of BMI & ASCAP has Elvis nominated for 41 Grammy Awards but won only 3 (see at those idiots) and all for Gospel music. It was extremely tough to get a Grammy those days unlike today with a mere drop of a hat and that's what 'some' consider great achievement! :-) So there you go folks those are the true facts and I might add that Elvis, the Beatles & Michael Jackson continue to sell records daily and yet ALL have concluded that Elvis WILL remain the rightful king taking all time facts in consideration. Elvis never toured outside America and didn't have to the world literally came to him and never left! The Brilliant success of 'The Elvis Concert', Graceland and sale of his music proves the fact that The king's more alive and MORE successful than any living performer. And while most of you claim to be a good Elvis fan then STOP believing or fostering the nonsense said about him which proves by your actions that in fact you besmirch Elvis' memory by doing so. And those that refuse to acknowledge FACTS glaring at you from a mile off get over it, we feel your pain but spreading lies out of envy & jealousy won't help as proved, and since he ain't around to defend himself sure makes you look more foolish than you already are. But good luck here's a laugh to help you along your journey and perhaps with some luck a few hundred years from now hopefully your great great great grandson just might be another, ELVISS!:-)

All my Love Phyllisfire (p2epresley) now.
Hope you all had a wonderful New Year and are still with some of "those" resolutions.....I hope! ?? .-) I know I haven't been up to much good myself as recently I've been facing quite a few problems, not here elsewhere, and the reason and for my frequent absence, but I do check with my channel every once in a while atho I don't seem to get the time to view any of those wonderful videos :-). Here's hoping all are doing well and things goin great your way... aww! missed you all! I regret to also inform you that I won't be mentioning or thanking you by each of your names /Ids however wonderful they are, since I was told that many felt left out by my doing so and were pretty hurt as well. The thing is there are far to many and while some don't want to be disclosed I thought it's ok I guess, but it seems I was wrong after all..
Hmmm... I'm truly shocked that IF has shut down her channel since I was in the dark myself but do believe she must have had good enough reason for doing what she did. I heard that she was under some stress for a while having lost her brother to cancer, and herself wasn'tkeeping too well, so that must have something to do with it too, but still it makes me sad but that's life, one can never tell :-).
No one can ever totally plan and be prepared for all the surprises in this life, but I would wager that..
