Thanks for your quick response! I sorta did extend the shaft already. I bought a bunch of washer and a bolt, and tightened them down. The I ground the washers a bit to fit the key in.
Im pretty sure I got it lined up, but that would make sense as to why the belt is smoking. It probably wouldnt...
