Over the course of a short decade, K.Maro, French rapper and a native of Lebanon has established himself as a major influence in the world of urban music.

He started his first musical venture at the tender age of fifteen. Since that early start many musical accomplishments have followed. After two albums with his original band LMDS, K.Maro decides to continue on as a solo artist. It will take almost two years before he finishes his first street album; all the while focusing on his other passion, business. The album I Am à lAncienne, produced by his loyal friend DJ Shortcut, is released in 2002. An instant success, the album is highly praised by critics who perceive it as the birth of francophone entertainment rap.

Riding this successful musical wave, K.Maro goes back in studio to work on his second solo effort: La Good Life. The album is written, composed, co-produced and financed by the artist himself on his newest venture, K.PONE.INC, the label he founded, developed and now operates as CEO.

In the summer of 2004 less than one month after the release of first single Femme Like U K.Maro soars onto international sales charts and becomes an overnight European star. The album is certified Gold in ten countries with sales reaching beyond 650 000 units sold worldwide! The single Femme like U sells over 750 000 units in France only and is awarded La Chanson de lannée (Song of the Year) at the prestigious NRJ Awards.

On the strength of this outstanding accomplishment K.Maro embarks on an extensive European tour covering countries such as France, Belgium, Russia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Finland and Austria among others.
K.Maro does not let achievement distract him and he instantaneously returns into studio to record his next project Million Dollar Boy.

In less than a year of release, the album is certified Double Gold in France and becomes yet another triumphant chapter in the growing success-story known as K.Maro. After all of these outstanding achievements there is no longer any doubt that K.Maro has become a bona fide superstar who in spite of his triumphs remains a dedicated artist and a genius of his craft.

Established in North America since 1990, this bilingual artist stays on the leading edge of the entertainment industry using his vision and keen sense of business.

This incredible ability and foresight draws him to sign in 2004 a nineteen year old singer Shym for whom he writes, composes and produces her debut album Mes Fantaisies. Shym quickly becomes one of the most treasured and valued figures of the French R&B scene with her first album receiving certification for Double Platinum status in France. This success for K.Maro further solidifies his place among the elite of the recording industry in France and throughout Europe.

This celebrated and persistent visionary goes back to the offensive and launches within less than a year of his highly successful Million Dollar Boys release, the limited edition album Platinum Remixes. This collection of skillfully remixed material from his own recordings becomes a landmark in France. The limited edition 50 000 units quickly become a sold out commodity.

A few months later, K.Maro is awarded the prestigious S.O.C.A.N award for the Most Successful International Artist highlighting a young and successful career.
Unrelenting in both his artistic and business affairs and always seeking new challenges, he will in 2008 extend his empire to the English speaking world with the release of the album Perfect Stranger as well as the launch of his own clothing line, Balbec Collection. The album was preceded by the release of the first street track, Out In Streets and the pop single Take You Away.
