About this user

Klangaroos is a non profit media networking project started by Sam Massey back in 2005. Back then, the project was called SPM - Special Productive Media. It then changed again in 2006 to STTTL. What this stands for, has been lost in history. Under these two names, the project focused on music creation and editing, creating three original instrumental albums released on our own label. (All three have been discontinued). If I manage to find one somewhere, as they have now all dissapeared into the unknown, I will upload some of the songs.

In late 2007, the project re-branded as Klangaroos when we dipped into internet radio and DJing.

Then, during 2007, we started creating original videos and uploading them (which have now been removed :(). These videos got us noticed by a TV station called the Community Channel, and in mid 2008 we were awarded a cash grant to help fund our videos, ranging from comedy, to horror and documentaries. Two of our videos have actually been shown on the Community Channel, and one has even been on BBC3! These short documentaries were some of the videos taken down by YouTube, because, even though we filmed, starred in, directed ect, them both, they were apparently owned by the stations they were shown on.

The project was going from strength to strength until late 2009, when the project funds dried up. This happened to come at the same time as two of the three main people leaving us, to work on other projects in university, leaving only Sam left to deal with everything. Needless to say, having lost two thirds of the only permanent crew, Sam's passion for the project dried up shortly after.

Having done nothing for the last few years, Sam is now trying to put the project back on track and get it going again within the community during late 2011 / early 2012. This is a very slow process however, as Sam does have other things to think about.
