COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS (I'm still learning too)-

SHOOTING
Q: I didn't think an AR-15 was California legal.
A: AR-15 rifles are legal in California as long as the barrel minimum length is 16" and the minimum length of the rifle is 30", of course no auto fire, magazines can only hold 10 rounds, and magazines must have a lock. Typically you would push the button, pop the used magazine out and stick a new one in. However, in order to reload in California you must actually pull the pin and separate the upper from the lower never detaching the magazine from the rifle.

Q: Where can I go shoot?
A: There's various shooting ranges, but to shoot rifles there are two outdoor places I go to- Burro Canyon and Angeles. There is also an indoor range called Insight, but I have never been there. I heard you have to take a class Sunday morning before you can gshoot your rifle. BLM land is another favorite choice, but it's far for me. There are state designated shooting areas in Bakersfield and San Diego. Of course the best place I've ever shot in was the Vegas desert. There the mag lock laws does not apply.

Q: Do I have to wear eye and ear protection?
A: In theory when you're out in the desert you can do as you wish, but I would highly recommend to wear it. Firearms are loud and my boss has actually lost his hearing from shooting. Trust me, these are not toys and you want to be safe.

Q: How long have you been dancing?
A: Since 11 years old. I started teaching around 15 and danced at various places thankfully on scholarship. I was injured after high school, so now it's just a passionate hobby I have. Definitely I have tons to work on, but in the end I still love it. I need more technique. :)
