About Me:
The main activities of the label consist of composing, producing and promoting original tracks released as singles, EPs, albums or compilations, without any boundaries, where reggae, hip hop, soul, funk and ska meet up to create a contemporary and bountiful sound.
The aim is to collaborate with artists from different cultures and countries who will sing their own lyrics on Kinyama's « riddims » (instrumental versions).
So far, the label has collaborated with a dozen artists since 2008 : the Jamaicans Prince Alla, Chezidek, Rod Taylor, Tony Curtis and Errol Organs ; the English MC Brother Culture and singer Mark Kelly ; the soul singers Severine Vaena and Shan Malaika ; Raldo and Charly B ; the American MC from Zambian origins Rootwords and the hip hop duo A-stout.
