I don´t believe in " best guitarist of the world", but when it comes to the real slow blues, I think Greeny is second to none. His tone, vibrato and feeling is out of this world !

Eric Clapton: Groaning The Blues
Eric gives us a fine version of this Otis Rush classic from an abandoned documentary 'Nothin' But The Blues' by Martin Scorsese.

@sp1naway I own the DVD, and it´s a fine performance, but if I want to hear texas-blues I just prefer Johnny Winther and Freddie King. Bt the way,if you want to hear EC at his peak then listen to Cream "Live at the Grande Ballroom" or Derek and the Dominoes "Live at the Filmore".

Let´s face it, if the Bristish invasion like EC, Peter Green, Rolling Stones, The Who, Jeff Beck and Led Zep etc... haven´t entered America back in the late 60´s, the blues would have been forgotten.

@YoGroucho Hendrix was great in the studio, but very sloopy live. in my book EC was much better live, listen to Cream bootleg " Live at the Grande Ballroom", best rock/blues jam in history if you ask me.. @fireblossom2u
I agree with you that EC was fantastic during the Nothing but the Blues tour 94-95 , but try listen to EC " Derek and the Dominos - Live at the Fillmore" recorded back in 1970, it will blow your mind !
