Quincy Jones - Velas (1981)
A sweet mellow song off Quincy Jones' great album The Dude. A song to lend an ear to while chillin'. Nice harmonica solo.

Nobody takes the time to become accomplished musicians except for the young jazz lions. The hip hoppers and rappers sample and mix beats but they dont lay down reeal music or few produce well written lyrics.

listening to this song I cant help but think of this beautiful big leg sister named Laura who never knew I existed. I was in high school and not quite into the ladies at the time but man what memories... NYC was a great place to grow up in 1967.
This song reminds me of mom. I lost her 9 years ago. She would be in the kitchen singing this song cooking and enjoying the family. I just want to see her again......
