CINEASTA & DIRETOR DE CRIAÇÃO.
CONCEBE E DIRIGE VIDEOS, SHOWS, DESFILES, EXPOSIÇÕES E EVENTOS.
MEMBRO DO GRUPO AUDIO-VISUAL "LCD" DE IMPROVISAÇÃO LIVRE ELETRÔNICA.

Formado em cinema pela ECA-USP, Kiko Araujo especializou-se na concepção, direção e edição de video-clips, tendo criado e dirigido vídeos para artistas como Raimundos, Ira!, Angra e Virgulóides, dentre outros. Com o primeiro, ganhou o prêmio de melhor vídeo de rock na premiação VMB da MTV, e foi um dos 5 indicados para melhor video do ano.

Recentemente tem se dedicado à direção de espetáculos (de artistas como Rita Ribeiro e Mawaca), direção de eventos e direção de desfiles (concebeu e dirigiu todos os desfiles de Jum Nakao dentro do São Paulo Fashion Week, sendo, inclusive, autor do conceito da premiada coleção de papel -- votada, recentemente, como o momento mais marcante da história do SPFW).

É membro do grupo audio-visual LCD, de improvisação livre eletrônica, onde desenvolve trabalho de pesquisa e produção dentro da área de "música visual", à partir de tecnologias e abordagens diversas.

Nesta mesma área, desenvolveu trabalhos como video-artista e/ou vj para (e em conjunto com) artistas diversos, tais como: Anvil FX, Freakplasma, Nude, maestro Jorge Antunes, Thomas Roher & Miguel Barella, Rita Ribeiro, Genvivas Negras, Blue Seven & Lee Konitz, Zé do Caixão, Grupo Bartolomeu de Teatro (concepção de video na peça "Acordei que Sonhava"), dentre outros.

Dentre os festivais onde já se apresentou incluem: Nokia Trends SonarSound, Skol Beats, Hype! Festival (Sesc), Campari Rock, Motorola Motomix, Hipersônica (FILE), MaerzMuzik (Berlim, Alemanha), dentre outros.

Trabalha também com concepção de projetos especiais, dentro os quais podemos destacar: exposição "Conflitos e Caminhos", dentro da Mostra Sesc de Artes; exposição & desfile "A Costura do Invisível", na Galeries Lafayette (Paris, França); e também a criação da instalação REVOLVER (do trio de artistas JULIO DOJCSAR + JUM NAKAO + KIKO ARAUJO) para o Museu Oscar Niemeyer (Curitiba).

Recentemente dirigiu o documentário "A Costura do Invisível" para o Senac Nacional e fez a direção de arte da ópera Kseni, de Jocy de Oliveira.

With a degrée in Movie Making by the University of São Paulo, Kiko Araujo especialized on the conception, direction and editing of music videos, having created videos for artists such as Raimundos, Ira!, Angra e Virgulóides, among others. With the first group, won the "best rock video" award, on the brazilian MTV's Video Music Awards, and was one of the five nominées for "best video of the year".

Recently, have been devoted to the ceation and direction of music shows (from artists like Rita Ribeiro and Mawaca), events and fashion shows (conceived and directed all Jum Nakao's shows on the São Paulo Fashion Week, and is the author of the concept from the warded Paper Collection, from that stylist, which was voted the fashion show of the decade in Brazil, and was part of the Showtime exhibiton in Paris, on the Musée Galliera, a exhibition showing the best on the history of fashion shows).

Kiko is a member of the audio-visual eletronic improv combo LCD, where he reserches and develops diferent forms of technology and approches on the area of visual-music.

On that same area, he developed many works as video-artist and/or VJ for artists as diverse as: Anvil FX, Freakplasma, Nude, maestro Jorge Antunes, Thomas Roher & Miguel Barella, Rita Ribeiro, Gengivas Negras, Blue Seven & Lee Konitz, Coffin Joe (Zé do Caixão), Bartolomeu Theatre Group (video conception on the "I Waked that I Dreamnt"), among others.

With those, he has presented his work on many Festivals such as: Nokia Trends SonarSound, Skol Beats (the biggest eletronic festival in South America), Hype! Festival (Sesc), Campari Rock, Motorola Motomix, Hipersônica (FILE), MaerzMuzik (Berlim, Germany), among others.

Also works with the conception of especial projects, like: the conception and curation for the "Conflicts and Paths" exhibition, on the Mostra Sesc de Artes; conception and direction of "The Sowing of the Invisible" exhibition and fashion show, for Galeries Lafayett (Paris, France), and the REVOLVER exhibition (created by the art trio Julio Dojcsar + Jum Nakao + Kiko Araujo), for the Oscar Niemeyer Museum, in Curitiba, Brazil.

Recently directed the documentary "The Sowing of the Invisible", for Senac Nacional, and worked as Art Director for the opera Kseni, by composer and maestro Jocy de Oliveira.
