  @420pilz thanks! yeah, since the jl's are rated at 125 rms, this way i can turn the amp all the way up w/ the bass boost and they should last for years! i know somebody with a jx500, so that puts 250 to each sub and it also sounds great, but he goes thru new ones bout once a year
