Invest in a condenser mic (google condenser mic shootout to see examples) also get a backing track to sing with. Very clever multi-track work - a backing track should be easy for you. get a shaker to add rhythm in liu of no drummer.

Your rendition of 'After the gold rush was the best I have ever heard - the balance even w/out microphones was amazing. I believe you guys don't know what you've got! Get some good recording equipment, and watch 'real group' master class videos - get professional, you guys have unbelievable talent!
