He uses too much effects in this song which makes it too much. listen to the original version of ustad Hashim(r,i.p). If that was needed, would he not use it? and as wasekhan mentioned, ghazal has to be pleasant to the ears and not so dil kharaash.

Its not true! he may name 3 great poets but the only person who he be thankfull of is: Marhoom Qahari Assi. Its a great shame that he never refers the lyrics of his songs to Assi or even mention his name! he is a great singer no doubt but a poke khudkhah; has always been. love you
