I love the sweet motherly comments at the end. What a great mom! I saw a vid of Claudio Arrau playing this piece and he was completely drenched in perspiration at the end. It's a workout in itself. George, I think your performance is better than his, though.

As a nurse, I think the therapy of doing some housework would be good for this woman. And it might help her to lose weight. I suspect when this son moves out she will be just fine on her own. It's just easier -- apparently --for her to have a personal servant. Another selfish parent.

Blindness is not the problem for these parents. Laziness, self-indulgence and cruelty are. Those are their real handicaps.
