It amazes me when an artist can take an existing song of theirs (or anyone's), and change it so much. When I hear a song repeatedly, the structure is so ingrained in my brain, I find it very difficult to think of it any other way. But...I guess that's what separates people like Sufjan from me!

I lived in Michigan as a very young kid and the only memory I have is of collecting a big dirty clothes basket full of hermit crabs, having it tip over in the house later, leaving hermit crabs everywhere for days. That being said, Sufjan rules.
