Season 4 *only* existed in America. We got that *instead* of Headmasters. It's basically an alternate ending, The Rebirth didn't lead into Headmasters in any way, and, in fact, *precludes* the possibility of Headmasters being in that continuity.

The Sega CD wasn't the first console to use optical media. The Turbo Grafx/PC Engine had a CD attachment, and they even came out with a single standalone unit, the Turbo Duo, before Sega had their CD widget out.
