fish can easily be just as happy in this kind of tank. live rock is not essential and neither is sand. Its not worth the money unless you like it. in my 72 gallon reef I have it because i think its more appealing to me.

I LOVE YOUR TANK. very cute fish and its nice to see them schooling naturally because too many people keep these singly or in small groups like a catfish, but corydoras are a rare occurance of a catfish that schools throughout its entire life.

IMO, unless you like them low, its better and cleaner to stack them higher. The less sand they touch, the less detritus buildup. Plus, stacking would look cooler :). Nice fish!

Actually most companies that are legal will net them, as long as you buy from a mainstream website or store, they will be netted because other methods of capturing fish often lead to death.

In captivity, chromis will kill eachother until there is only one left. They school as juveniles, but when they reach adulthood they become aggressive towards one another. They are perfectly content on living singly. I own a single one and he just schools with my other fish without any aggress...

@TravisVision Brine shrimp is not enough for them to thrive unless it has additives. Mysis shrimp is a better choice for long term health.
