Without being too muso, I think Paul Leary is seriously underrated as a guitarist. You need soul to play decent guitar like Hendrix or Eddie Hazel or Michael Karoli or Steve Hillage not technical brilliance.

I like this version slightly more than some of the other live ones - has a heavier feel and the audience are going nuts!

@glassbreaker5791 This sounds more like Can than most people realise! Damo Suzuki was the male Yoko Ono. It's been widely stated that the experimental German bands of the late 60s/early 70s thought Yoko was the most creative "member" of The Beatles - and you can see why.

Much better than the recorded version, which is a good song but too overproduced and saccharine in my opinion. This the raw heart of that same song. Plus Mr. Jones is really on form and not too stoned or drunk to show off his gift. No wonder the crowd go bonkers at the end.

I actually saw this band live and pretty good they were too. I do think it was a little bit of a novelty though. And I had forgotten just how much The Cult they sounded.

Isn't it a bit shocking though how few views this great track has? That's the problem with a great band. People don't realise the gems hidden away on albums. Also is it me or does the feel of this album run right through "Urban Hymns" by The Verve?

Oh wow - I have this on 7" Subpop vinyl and I wouldn;t sell it for the world. Forgot just how good this is - would be in my top 20 records of all time.

They playing at the Underbelly in Hoxton on October 21st and I for one will be there. I like this a lot. Yes, it is derivative of shoegazing but has a nice psychedelic feel.

@owenivor I think it is the version here. Almost entirely in Spanish, which is a triumph for the UK where we are notoriously immune to anything in a foreign language!
