Sly Mantis is a pseudonymous Irish/Ireland Graffiti Artist but his identity is unknown according to the general public and local authorities trying to find him. Sly became involved in graffiti during the great Economic Downturn in the 21st century.His artworks are often satirical pieces of art on topics such as politics, culture, and ethics.His street art, which combines graffiti writing with a distinctive stencilling technique, is similar to Blek le Rat and banksy. Sly began to work with stencils as an early teen with nothing or little else to do this style was ideal to pass the time. Sly Mantis's Style of art was born from the Irish/Ireland Underground Scene as a way of rebelling against the Art world, a Revolutionary and Entertainer. Sly despite not calling himself an artist, has been considered by some as talented in that respect. Some believe that his Style/Art form provides a voice for those living in urban environments that could not otherwise express themselves.many others disagree, asserting that his work is simple vandalism and a eye sore for the communities that his art is in.This political purpose behind his vandalism is reminiscent of the Ad Jammers or subvertising movement, who deface corporate advertising to change the intended message and hijack the advert.Due to the shroud of secrecy surrounding his real identity and his subversive character;Sly has achieved somewhat of a cult following from some of the younger age group within the stencilling community.

Camouflage is very important for Sly Mantis' survival because he has so many enemies such as authorities, governments and people full of negativity about art. they must blend in to their habitat to ovoid been caught. mantis are the only insect to turn their head from side to side in a full 180 degree angle while paranoid or out of their heads spraying art up on a wall. their eyes are sensitive to the slightest movement up to 60 feet away which has its advantages as local coppers cant see a merely 5 feet in front of their selves because of the design flaws in the stupid hats the wear that cover their eyes. mantis also have ultra sound hearing when the mantis hears certain frequencies of sound it automatically goes into Camouflage mode while authorities walk by and go bout their Business, once this stage happens the happy Sly Mantis gets back to work on his art. : )
