About Me:

Hi! I'm part of White Light Productions who have brought the City of San Francisco the Remember the Party events for the last few years. These events celebrate the magic and music of the legendary Trocadero Transfer, which I was lucky enough to have experienced when the Troc opened in 1977, and during it's peak years especially when DJ Bobby Viteritti was at the helm of the Troc's turntables.

At the same time, I worked part time at Aloha Records, where many of the DJs of San Francisco's LGBT community shopped especially for the disco records imported into the U.S. Sure I had a full time job but I made time to work at Aloha so I could stay right on top of all the latest in disco music!

Now, 30 years later, the music is back at our RtP events and I couldn't be more delighted!

I've been posting videos from our last disco extravaganza "Remember the Party' Close Encounters of the Disco Kind," which was on Sunday, October 11, 2009. DJ Jerry Bonham played us an over 9 hour set of 70s and early 80s disco ala the Troc. We THANK all of you who joined us on our disco journey!

The latest Remember the Party event was "Remember the Party - Mighty Real Disco," spotlighting the music of Sylvester and the San Francisco disco scene of the 1970s to early 1980s! Held on 10-9-11 at a new location, the former home of Dreamland (now City Nights) with DJ By The Bay, Jerry Bonham.

You can find playlists and tons of photos from all of our events at www.remembertheparty.com!

The photography for the poster artwork on my home page is by Rey Rey's Photography, with the design by RtP's very own Richard G.!

LATEBREAKING DEVELOPMENT: Because the renovation work is not quite finished, we're moving Remember the Party - Mighty Real Disco on October 9, 2011, to another legendary San Francisco disco (unofficially Trocadero Transfer's sister club!), DREAMLAND! Please visit the Remember the Party website for full details. Hope to see you there!

10-10-10: Join us at the Trocadero Transfer in San Francisco, CA, for a summer night in October at "Remember the White Party" with DJ Jerry Bonham. An evening of authentic underground disco from the late 1970s to the mid 1980s!

I am really enjoying your posted Trocodaro videos. And the flood of memories the music brings back. I was only there once on vacation, and it was the night Lisa was there..."Rocket To Your Heart'/"Jump, Shout"...the girl worked that crowd. At that time I was DJing in Champaign, IL at a club called "theBar". I am also still DJing, in Houston now. My how the music has changed throughout the years, but nothing will ever compair to out beloved Disco Classics. Thanks for the memories!

Hey Keefe,
Any word yet on the theme for the upcoming RTP event? It's just around the corner. A girl has got to have time to get her ensemble together if you feel me ;D. This year has flown by way too fast for me! Thanks love. Lauren

Hi Keefe, I had the pleasure of being a member of the Troc from 79-81. I will never forget the fabulous parties there. I missed last years RTP, do you have any idea of this years theme and date? Thanks for everything you do to keep the Trocadero alive. Take care, Lauren
