i remember pee wee's visits on late night as always being hilarious, so it's funny to see these clips all these years later and see how awkward dave was with him. it seems like this clip in 1985, with the success of the movie, is the first time that dave takes pee wee seriously as a comedy genius.

yeah, the character of pee wee was not quite, but almost, there yet. but it would definitely be perfected a few years later for pee wee's playhouse.
i do love his drive with dave, though-- that's the main thing i remember of pee wee being on late night in the 80's.

@datanewb i agree about the 3d, but i *am*excited about the 48 fps. i hope there will be a theater somewhere in the st. louis area supporting it, and i hope that theater has the 48 fps without 3d!
