About Me:
 
I take pictures of Civil War officers all over North Carolina in cemeteries and do extensive research on them as to their past, ranks, battles, personal lives, etc. I also go to Civil War re-enactments and take those pictures as well. I spend a great deal of time reading and researching about the Civil War. I have 4 cats, wow! I was born in Denmark came to US @ 8, dad was Nuclear Physicist @ FSU in Florida. Mom of 2 sons, one has degree in art and photography. One is a police officer, a 2nd deg. black belt & teaches karate, has computer degree. I am a former biker (motorcycle rider) till a 87 yr old man ran stop sign and ran into me with his car, broke my back 5 yrs ago, 6 vertabres broken, have titanium in back, so i can't do many physical activities, but i do have many hobbies. You can see my photos of my officers on Flickr, i have travelled to many cities all over NC and "collect" as many officers as possible, besides cemeteries are cool places to hang out, luv them, so peaceful. I also like to take pictures of fire trucks, police cars, classic cars, historic places, cats, mainly stay in graveyards. I have an passion for photography, i like to keep my photos realistic and don't alter them much.I have an ecletric taste in music, from Buble to alternative rock, 60's and soul, and some new country, my ultimate favorite female singer is Stevie Nicks, her songs have always touched my soul.

Graveyards, that is i take pictures all over NC of Civil War officers. I also like to go to CW re-enactments. I drive a lot to find these soldiers then do research on them. I also like to karaoke a bit. Also like classic car cruise ins, and take pictures of those cars.

Thanks so much for the support and the kind words. We very much hold veterans in high regard. In fact, Tom is a Vietnam vet. We have a number of pages for individuals, but not for cemeteries themselves. That is something we are working towards. As you said, there is just so much to see. We have a current page devoted to Iraq/Afghanistan vets.
