Qadhafi misunderstands his situation. Driving tanks into cities does not amount to restoring his government or his rule. No one in the liberated areas is complying with his directives or obeying his government, whether or not his tanks are in the area or not. His regime cannot be restored no ...

It is impossible for Qadhafi to regain control with tanks alone. His infantry can't get out of the tanks and vehicles without getting shot up, which is why he is losing so many tanks and APC's. Eventually, the rebellion will overwhelm his forces, particularly if they are resupplied from outside.
