in AC2 when the apple was stolen, Ezio got stabbed and was knocked unconscious. When he woke up it looked like he was 10 years older because of that beard.

Now Desmond was unconscious then woke up into some kind of alternate reality ...

@WestWizzy Everyone knows Desmond's the main guy, he means Ezio is the main character in AC revelations (in terms of play time) and Altair would be second.
