I have a single Cycle Lumenator on my electric recumbent. Works great. Runs off the big battery which supplies around 50 volts. It has a huge range of acceptable voltage.
The only thing I had to change was to swap out the supplied cap nut for a locking nut, as it kept slipping. Very bright ...

Front wheel drive works great on recumbents, because they tend to be rear-heavy by design. I converted my LWB Tour Easy the same way. I even put the battery towards the front too. Rides great...two-wheel drive!
