If you're reading this right now you are on my channel checking out my tunes! Thanks! ;o) I'm Kat. A big nerd who can party with the rest of 'em, most of my wild side comes from the Irish in me. I've recently moved on from writing about rocket ships, dancing bananas and shiny rocks to what might be my job soul mate here in Washington, DC. There are few things I adore more than sunshine, public transportation, blue states and women who like to argue. I spend quite a bit of time at the gym and at least one hour a week unplugged from a communications device. A rebel with a thousand causes, I'm a fan of beautiful things in general. Self identified strengths include relocating lost bugs and kicking your butt in Scrabble. I also dig pandas, but not Panda Express and absolutely love American history and any team that plays the Lakers. With a big city feel that's not urbanely oppressive -- DC has my heart, though I'm still apprehensive about its tap water. My musical aspirations took a bit of a backseat to my collegiate basketball career after I initially moved to California. Four knee surgery I eventually hung up my sneakers and started to get back into writing and performing. When I wasn't doing my own stuff, I got by on solo gigs with Coro Hispano de Nuevo and employment with San Franciscos Catholic Archdiocese as well as St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Sausalito. I love classical stuff and feel like that spin exists in just about everything I've ever written but I prefer a scene that is more individually expressive. I dig the likes of Missy Higgins, Death Cab for Cutie, Jay Brannan, Melissa Ferrick, Amos Lee, Zero 7, KT Tunstall, Sarah Blasko, Jack Johnson, Norah Jones, Feist, Imogen Heap, The Fray, Matisyahu, Duffy, Cat Power, Adele, The Postal Service and the list goes on. :o)
