Using Turmeric to help clear my lungs out
Turmeric tea
Drink this tea when you feel yourself coming down with the cold or flu, to help your body fight off bacterial infections, and to reduce chronic inflammation in the body. Turmeric tea is easy to make and tastes great with a little bit of lemon or honey.
Ingredients
4 cups water, 1 tablespoon ground turmeric, lemon (optional), honey (optional)
Directions
Bring water to a boil or warm some milk. Reduce heat and add ground turmeric. Simmer for 10 minutes. Strain into a mug using a mesh strainer or cheesecloth. Add honey and/or lemon to taste.
The medicinal properties of this spice have been slowly revealing themselves over the centuries. How to heal cuts
Stop the bleeding by applying pressure to the wound, if necessary. Clean the cut thoroughly with soap and warm water. Use a soft cloth to gently scrub away dirt and debris from the area. Pat the area dry. The skin around the wound needs to be dry so a bandage will stick to it. Sprinkle turmeric powder over the cut. Turmeric powder stains, so take care not to get it on your clothes. Cover the wound with a bandage.

It adds a nice flavor and gives the egg salad a rich yellow hue.
Contraindications: Turmeric should not be used by people with gallstones or bile obstruction. Though turmeric is often used by pregnant women, it is important to consult with a doctor before doing so as turmeric can be a uterine stimulant.
