Kat Garcia is a Canadian actress and singer best known for portraying Chastity Gomez-Baker in Telequebec's television series Tactik. The multi-talented 17-year-old had many goals for her self-titled EP: I wanted people to not only see me for who I portray on the television series but to inspire people with what I truly have to say about the world. Being raised by Colombian parents in Montreal, Canada, I've been presented to three diverse worlds: a world of Latin rhythms, a world of English upbeat lyrics, and a French perspective on music. My music is not only international but so am I. Being able to relate to three different cultures by speaking English, French and Spanish is something I embrace.

After having been found playing the piano by ear at age four and having taken electric guitar lessons a few years later, Kat had a willful desire to pursue a career in the entertainment business. She was chosen to audition for casting directors, agencies, and recognized record labels, from all over North America at the age of thirteen in Los Angeles, where she met with her producer at an artist's convention, iPOP (International Presentation of Performers). Although she's been working independently, she has recorded four singles that have been available on iTunes since late 2009. Through "Feelin' U", Kat's first single, "Inolvidable", the song's own Spanish interpretation was born, written and translated by her and by the help of her mother. "Chaotic" her third single was a self-written techno-influenced song whose music video will come out sometime in 2011. "Moving On" the last single on her EP demonstrates her musical capabilities in ballad form. Having written the song from personal experience showcases her vulnerability as a performer and songwriter. Kat Garcia's singles are currently playing all over North and South America in Icing Accessories, Ardene Accessories, Wet Seal Clothing, Le Garage Clothing, Dynamite Clothing, Stitches Clothing stores and in Canadian radio stations. "Inolvidable" recently began to play in restaurants like Abuelo's and El Torrito's in the United States. "Inolvidable" has proven to be well received by the Latin culture as it has been played in Colombian radio stations. Garcia was given the opportunity in April 2010 to perform as Karl Wolf's opening act in downtown Montreal, a recognized Universal Republic --signed recording artist. She followed up by becoming the opening act for the internationally known boy-band called "WOW The Group" at Club Soda for the PopSmash tour brought to us by Popstar Magazine and sponsored by Virgin Radio. Kat Garcia also performed at numerous night clubs in Montreal, one of them being Circus Nightclub. Summer 2010, she focused on filming her two music videos for "Feelin'U" and "Moving On", respectively. Her most recent show involved opening for Danny Fernandes and Young Money artists at the Palais du Congres.

The talented singer, songwriter, and musician does not only perform musically but theatrically. She was signed to a talent agency in early 2008 and soon found her niche in television. August 2009, Kat Garcia, filmed on the set for a first season on Tactik on Telequebec Channel, a renowned French television show. As Chastity Gomez-Baker, the jocular character, Kat Garcia was asked to go from a guest-starring appearance role to a recurring principal where she has been asked to participate in a second season. Her first role before Tactik, consisted of her working with Adam Weissman, director of "Drake and Josh", "Victorious", and other shows like "Zoey 101". She has appeared in several national commercials for "Activia Yogurt", and infomercials for the Quebec government.

Kat Garcia has been currently featured on the CBC Radio One Show "Homerun", on CIBL and Radio Centre-Ville where she talked about her impact on the youth of Montreal.
