I wasted so much time trying to covert the people closest to me. And I discouraged myself in the process. Thank God for the Holy Spirit to tell us where to plant our 'miracle seeds'-- in the fertile soil of someone who WANTS to hear!

I LOVE it when He says the puny, guilt-ridden lessons I taught myself cannot prevail over the lessons God teaches me. This IS my experience every single time I exchange an unloving thought for the love and peace of God!

To be powerless and a victim, I have to teach my brother--'you are hurting me, and are therefore guilty.' But to teach this lesson, I have to suffer! NOT a good idea!

Wouldn't I rather teach, through forgiveness, that he never hurt me or anyone--and neither have I!

This idea-- that we have repeated endlessly, in every form imaginable, the "teaching" that we are victims--is such a sobering thought, and one that motivates me even more, to learn to ask the meaning of everything I see.

I am so grateful to you and the group for this great reminder--if I can teach myself that I am NOT who I am, then I CAN learn the simple truth..that I remain as God created me. Thank you all!

I really appreciate the explanation about the distinction between "intuitive" and "emotional" feelings. I think it will be useful as a very strong guidepost for learning to discern the difference between the ego's voice and the Voice of God.

I am so grateful to be reminded once again that no form of any kind justifies my anger. And that I don't have to feel fight against getting angry, but realize that some gruesome form has deceived me, and I can give it up just as easily as any other.

I can take care of myself better than God can! Wow...That's really what I think when I choose not to ask Him about anything. This makes the ego my "friend" and God my "enemy." It is such a reversal--that our own mind is our enemy and God is really our Friend--because He speaks for what we REALLY ...

It feels so freeing to learn that we are angry only at what does NOT satisfy us! Some illusion we made up of who we are that could NEVER satisfy the Son of God! And of course, there's no need to judge our anger--just ask to see where we're serving an illusion so we can stop it and serve our true ...

I really like the explanation that "attacking is the same as pursuing." We don't usually think that what we DON"T want-with our attack/anger towards it--is what calls that very thing to us and makes it "real" for us.

So the idea that we DON"T NEED all the things we have pursued with an "addictive attraction" is HIDDEN from us while we go after the idol. And so many idols: trying to make people, things, even political situations work out the way we want to! I liked Rusty's comment "a whole chain of addictions....

We have the right to search for our completion--it's just that we're confused about where to find it so we choose idols. But it really isn't the idol we want, it's our completion! What a heartening and motivating message! What a great explanation! Thank you Karen!

Somehow when you explain "you've got to stop using your understanding" and let the Holy Spirit tell you what everything means-- I really see at a much deeper level, the necessity for letting go and letting Him!

The explanation of how we forgive God is ...

To change our purpose to acclaim life NOW--the fear of God, the fear of death, and even the illusions of death--all overcome. We aren't really dying when our bodies change form. And all I need to do is see things without my accusations of guilt.

And I am in the real world when my only purpose is ...

It is so wonderful to be learning that we were not born to die. That God gave the gift of change to all the things we wanted to make permanent--but ensured "that only Heaven would not pass away."

It is so good to realize how much we don't love ourselves, and won't make good choices for ourselves. Yet if we will love/learn from Jesus, we can receive the help we need to remember who we are, and act accordingly.

Wow, what a great lesson!! I need to be reminded both that my brother IS myself, so I don't want to withhold forgiveness from ME; and also that "neutral" is attack--I have forgiveness to give, and not giving it is an attack on our identity. Such a great explanation: when I am in distress of any kind, its time to do a miracle, because my body's eyes, ears and feelings seem to prove to me that the body is real. And the miracle will shift my perception to the love and peace that witnesses to our true Identity.

Great explanations!

1. I can't just read the text--doing the lessons teaches us how to be still and quiet, even when we're in a state of fear.

2.The correction I need doesn't mean I'm bad., it means I forgot our loving Identity, and now He will restore me to love and peace.

I love how clear the explanations are too! Like a holy instant is another state of mind where the answer is. What a relief to learn how to stop our minds just long enough for the answer to come. We work so hard a providing our own, and it never works!

This is why I want to forgive: I cannot remember God without seeing the Face of Christ in my brothers. And these passages humble my ego, and make me WANT to "look with loving eyes on him who carries Christ within him." God is IN him!!!

Yes, he is indeed giving us beautiful picture of why we would want to choose a miracle over a perception of anger. And this is the rebuilding of the living temple within our heart! I love the idea of the altar being devotions--all we really want is to be devoted to our true Identity--our oneness ...

I love this too! I just love being reminded that forgiveness is the gift I give to call Them to come--"the holiest of all spots on earth is where an ancient hatred has become a present love." And we choose that this happen every time with our forgiveness!!

I really like the connection drawn between the Kingdom of God and God's Thought System of our Identity. AND, that we will reflect His paradigm of who we really are, here on earth--the Real World.

We do get so lost in guilt over what we've done in the past, and fear of how the future is going to play out. And how could we not be afraid? Our belief that we've changed our eternal,loving Identity (sin) is devastating.

But finding peace, NOW, through forgiveness, is the way out of past guil...
