About this user

I am Sam. Since the age of five I've had a love affair with the Eastern Martial Arts. In the 27 years since that love of the martial arts has lead me to find and acquire training in Isshin Ryu Karate, Hung Gar Gong Fu and Kenjutsu. Don't ask which ryu because at current I'm believing it is a hybrid of at least a couple ryu, the strongest influences being from what I was told is Hokushin Itto Ryu Kenjutsu.

At this point I am without a teacher in the arts and am therefore always open to help in furthering my martial arts training. Between my children, my fiance and my job, I have little time to maintain practice of the meager skills I have learned while training and therefore my martial arts are suffering greatly as seen in my videos.

Please note that some of my videos depict me cutting through solid/hard targets. This activity is inherently dangerous. It is likewise compounded by the fact that the majority of sword-like-objects sold on the open market are not designed for this kind of use and can break and even shatter upon impact with a solid target. That in itself can cause great injury to the person performing the cutting and any bystanders. As such it is advised that cutting should only be attempted by those with the proper training and the proper equipment to do so. All who try to re-create the activities found in my videos do so at their own risk. I assume no liability for any damages and/or injuries arising from others attempting to perform cuts found within my videos. All content therein is for entertainment purposes only and not intended for instructional use.
