You have the screw driver on the wrong side of the brake pad , you never want to scratch the rotor, next time place the screw driver between the pad backing plate and caliper... Just a tip

Yes. I have done a timing chain , it starts right up so it can't be a timing issue,and I was really careful doing the job, no vac leaks ,checked with carb spray ,and smoke test... What gives ,any ideas...thanx rich

I don't know how long you had this car but, it is possible that the former own had fooled with wiring for the combination switch and/or ignition system. The combi switch is after all tied in the ignition system, so you might have a bad switch, and check tampered with wiring

Checked all my solenoids on my 02 s series all checked out good at 5.6 ohms each, I'm getting I faint whine in the tranny in 1st and second gear , what can that be? Hi rich, I own a 02 s series auto trans, there is a sensor along side the trans valve body cover what is this for?? I'm trying to track down some performance issues with my car, it doesnt seem to be shifting right, Checked all five of the shift solenoids ,all are fine, changed fluid,...any ideas...

Does this apply to the 02 sl2 models
