Kape Muna attended high school at the Philippine High School for the Arts (PHSA) where he majored in Theater Arts. He was the lighting designer of numerous theater productions in PHSA and University of the Philippines Los Baños from 1995 until 2001.

He attended a number of video and film workshops including the 2001 Mowefund Film Institute Workshop on 16mm Film Documentary.

A student leader in University of the Philippines Los Baños, he became the Chairperson of the University Student Council in 2001. He was one of the founding members of Southern Tagalog Exposure, an independent and alternative multi-media collective based in Region IV.

Currently, he is the Executive Director of Mayday Multimedia.
