Free Falling Cover kansaslo - 2,681 views - 5 months ago
My rendition of Tom Petty's Free Falling, as inspired by John Mayer's version from his Live in Los Angeles DVD (by no means is this a verbatim version of either - I just play it how I feel).

Audio recorded using MBox2/Protools; video recorded using Canon SD1100 IS camera; video edited using Ulead VideoStudio 11; played using my Larrivee LV-03R guitar.

Unfortunately, watching this in high quality shows some lag between between the video and audio.

Enjoy.

These clips were taken just steps from my NYC apartment. The first clip shows the ladies' leaders and second clip the men's leaders - both near mile 17 of the race.

The accompanying song is Where Are We Running by Lenny Kravitz.

Collide Cover - Howie Day kansaslo - 861 views - 8 months ago
This is my rendition of Howie Day's Collide. My recording equipment is not set up in my new place so the audio and video were recorded on my Canon digital camera and the video worked up using Ulead VideoStudio 11. Recorded using my new Larrivee LV03E.

Thanks for everyone's support.

Crawlin TS Blues - Transatlantic Virtual Jam with prboyd kansaslo - 1,295 views - 1 year ago
prboyd (Phil) recently posted a fantastic original blues groove on YT the other day and he & I agreed to collaborate on a transatlantic jam.

In the spirit of Phil's Angus Young/ACDC sound from his rig, I played the guitar direct to the MBox2 through the GuitarPort using the "Angus Young - Have a Drink on Me Rhythm" setting. The tone was additionally overdriven by using my TS-9 Tubescreamer. And since I have not played my electric for a while, I might have gone a bit crazy with the wah pedal....as Phil called it, "Wah Mania."

Phil's channel can be accessed at http://www.youtube.com/user/pr boyd

I hope you enjoy.

Cheers,
Ken

About Me: Thanks for visiting my channel.  I have a long list of songs I want to post, so eventually they will all be here.  Although my main influences are comprised of many jazz artists, I love many genres of music.  It is my hope that my collection of current and future posts reflect who I am musically.
Cheers, Ken

What a pleasant surprize to hear from you Ken! I was in the heart f Dawg and Yellow Jacket country over the weekend at friends house who runs a li'l studio down in Woodstock Ga, and saw a sign that said "Gainesville",and I thought about you.lol I know it was Gainesville Ga. I went to visit my friend and he had a surprize by bringing in a couple of top notch players to help on a track of mine. One played bass Kevin Scott, and one played lead, Nick Johnson. They're both 21 and already stunningly good musicians. They were great sports and did a great job. They play in a band called Genetic Drift, and have a couple of vids on youtube.

Championship has to go through Gainesville, and we're not sure what the Gamecocks will bring to the table this year.

Take care!
