About Me:

Kamonis live improvised onslaught of chopped-up jungle beats, dubstep grooves and raw cerebral soundscapes has captivated enthused audiences worldwide. On stage, Kamonis real-time assemblage of sound is juggled between a hardware percussion controller and music software employing sophisticated sound programming techniques.

Everything he creates is improvised freestyle opening a deluge of possibilities for live performance, each one different than the next. He does not use any pre-programmed loops or sequences, but prefers to play one-shot impulses arranged in his head, sequenced by his hands. Watching his live show is an experience in itself, quite incomparable to anything currently happening in live electronic music.

As a professional sound designer and music producer by day, Kamonis sound programming expertise has been highly sought after. From leading music software developers such as Ableton and Native Instruments to many television and online ads his work has been used as a sonic stimulus to many commercial products. He is the founder and lead sound designer of Puremagnetik, a pioneering Brooklyn based sound development company.

His work has been featured in Electronic Musician, Sound on Sound, XLR8R, Remix, Computer Music, Knowledge, Keys and other publications.
