Here are some favorite artists and their art. Most, if not all, are quite rare recordings or performances -- hopefully, some excerpts you have not heard before. Feel free to share your comments on these artists.

As you can see, I have a great fondness for Eileen Farrell, Nan Merriman, Lois Marshall, Maureen Forrester, Peter Pears, Leopold Simoneau, the great Hermann Prey, and Benjamin Luxon among others. It is a rare gift to be a good recitalist and these artists are that and so much more!

Every attempt has been made to not violate any audio or visual copyrights. I have deleted more than half of the files uploaded to try and be observant of all copyright issues. If there is any file that is questionable please tell me and I will gladly delete it.

I have posted a few clips of my floral arrangements. For many years I have been involved in the art of ikebana - Japanese flower arrangement. As you can see, my arrangements fall into a more modern free-style. I hope you become acquainted with this great art form and lifestyle.
About Me:

FYI: I do not approve friend invites anymore without some real exchange between us. One of the things I hate about this new techno-world of bots, etc., comes with the assumption that seems to have become mainstream....

The music published in this channel is exclusively dedicated to divulgation purposes and not commercial. If someone, for any reason, would deem that a video appearing in this channel violates the copyright, please inform me immediately before you submit a claim to YouTube, and it will be my care to remove immediately the video accordingly.

Found you and this site through looking for Donald Gramm. I think it is a perfect way to find you. He raised the bar in American Recitals and here I find Nan Merriman, Bnjamin Luxon and more of the finest artists of the 20th century. Thank you. Might there be a place for Dorothy Warenskjold?

thank you so much!!! I am preparing "les leçons de ténébres" and I am very much inspired by Deller but I used to listen to the harmonia mundi record , this one is such an incredible discovery, the voice is clear , the organ is less "heavy" all is surrounded by light...

Superb postings - Thank you so much for introducing me to Eileen Farrell. Living in Ireland I'm amazed that I wasn't aware of her peerless voice until today. What a pleasure to hear her now. I wonder do you know if she ever recorded the old Irish song Macushla.

There are some incredible gems here, including by people I have never heard of.
Incidentally, the Bach Aria Group were revolutionary at the time in the sense that they limited the vocal parts to a quartet of soloists (rather than the customary choir). Later research, by Rifkin, showed that this is how in fact the cantatas used to be performed in Bach's time (or with two singers for each voice at most). I think today it is only Kuijken's group in Belgium that uses this arrangement.

Thank you so much for your videos of Lois Marshall's HMV recital ! I have this on LP and I wait in vain for its re-release on CD, possibly on Testament.
