Hi. My name is Karin.
Ive recently joined the club of single mothers, and have the two most beautiful daughters in the whole world. Its a huge adjustment, but we are making the best life possible with what God has given us. I am working on my masters degree in elementary education with a literacy focus, but I am seriously considering changing it to philosophy. Ive heard suggestions of Law School but that might be a bigger sacrifice than I am willing to make..we will see. I still have a couple of years to decide.
My passion is The Akron Symphony and Symphony Chorus of which I am a first soprano. Now you ask, why I dont have videos galore on YouTube for all of you to see..I have one word..CHICKEN! Maybe someday I will get the guts and figure out how to do it. Not too many people are interested in opera, on YouTube, I dont think. Correct me if Im wrong. In the mean time, check out Grannypanties 30 - she is the most awesome singer on this site! You won't be disappointed.
Currently I'm reading Ulysses by James Joyce, on purpose, call me freak. Its pretty good. He doesnt use quotation marks, so sometimes I get confused when someone is speaking. However, its supposed to be the single greatest literary work of the 20th Century, so I had to check it out. Surprisingly, for a book written in the 30s, its loaded with smut! Go figure! Im also reading The Shack - maybe to balance out the good with the bad? A good read for anyone; definitely worth your time.
I love all kinds of movies, well except scary movies. Big house, little dog, you get the idea. Although we do have a ferocious cat! She kills anything that crosses her path. You would have to be hard pressed to mess with her. Anyway -movies- my all time favorite would have to be Meet Me in St. Louis. You just have to see it to know. Obviously I have an affinity for Disney movies..not much choice there! The wardens I live with are ruthless!
