Q: Where can I get your tabs?
A: If you're looking for tabs for a video, I always post a link in the video info box. If you're looking for a ton more tabs, what I have posted here is just a fraction of the tabs I have on gametabs. Click the link in the "website" area to go to my gametabs profile and see all the tabs I have up there.
Q: How long have you been playing? Did you take lessons? Where do I start?
A: I've been playing a little over 8 years. No, I've never had lessons. I bought an electric guitar a long time ago but then heard a recording of Bach Inventions played on classical guitar and knew that's what I wanted to do. I traded in my guitar the next day towards a cheap classical and never looked back. I taught myself using beginner guitar books such as "Classic Guitar Technique" Vol. 1 and 2 by Aaron Shearer and "Pumping Nylon." Between the two of those you'll learn the basic technique of how to play a classical guitar, how to read sheet music, and learn some easy but great music. I highly recommend a private teacher but if you can't or don't want to check out those books. They're almost always at your local music store.
Q:What kind of guitar/strings do you use?
A:I play on an M. Horabe model 35 classical guitar. Found her on sale one day and decided to pick her up. With new strings she sings. Strings I use changes, as I still haven't settled on any brand. I usually will use high tension strings because extra high tension is a little too bright for my taste.
Q:What do you use to record?
A:Nothing special. I use an 11 dollar computer mic I bought at Walmart and Windows Movie Maker to record the video. I will also add a little reverb sometimes using Acid Music Studio because of my cheap mic and the fact that classical guitar strings don't hold notes as long as any other type of guitar. So sometimes, when the notes are dying off way too fast I will add a little reverb afterwards. Other than that it's all the guitar so I really can't stress enough going to a music store and playing on all they have before making up your mind.
Q: I want to arrange music for guitar, where do I start?
A: That's a massive question, but one I do try to address in a forum post I made awhile back. I go through the programs you should look into downloading and go through arranging a simple piece of music from start to finish. You can find that tutorial here:

Q: You're Kabukibear83 right? You used to have a lot more videos, over a thousand subscribers, etc. Why did you delete all your videos and that account?
A: Well, it's like this. I've loved arranging for a long time. If I could do it for a living I definitely would. Thus far, however, I've gotten nowhere in attaining that dream. So, when I signed on that "fateful" morning I looked at all the videos and their meaning had changed to me. Instead of being a fun way to get people interested in game music and the guitar, they each became a flag that said "You're wasting time. You haven't gotten anywhere. You're a failure."
It was pretty upsetting and I acted childishly, deleting it all. I could've just left it all up and said I was taking a break from arranging but at the time I was pretty emotional. After I calmed down I decided that I could do both and started uploading the videos back up to this account. So I'm back! And you don't need to worry about me going away again!
