About ME and me

The main purpose of this channel is to share my experience of M.E. in the hope of raising awareness of this neglected, yet widespread disease, and also to hopefully help and encourage other sufferers.

I am 50 years old and have been very happily married to Janice for 29 years. I used to work in the care department of a school for children with profound disabilities.I have a diploma in Health and Social Welfare which I earned in 2005 with the Open University.

I became ill in December 2005, shortly after having a flu jab, This may be co-incidental as I had been having some health problems in the years prior to this. Since then I have suffered various neurological symptoms, I have seen four different neurologists and had numerous tests, all of which have been normal. I lost my job in 2007 as my illness has meant that I haven't been able to work since December 2005

I was given a diagnosis of M.E. in 2007. I have been making videos about my experiences with hope that I may be able to help raise awareness of ME and people with undiagnosed neurological illness and hopefully be of some help to other sufferers.

Although I have a diagnosis of ME I still have some doubts about it as my symptoms are not typical and I have seen my illness and disability increase over the past four and a half years.
