The "test" is not the result. You can get great results with pain and punishment, that does not justify the method. A dog is not a prisoner you can bully into submission. There are countless methods that are good for the dog AND get results.

You do a lot of talking. A well trained dog doesn't need repeated commands to get them to respond. You and your look happy thoughand that is what is important.

@Zerg82 Punishment, in the form of physical pain is not needed for a properly trained dog. Unless you can read minds, you DO NOT KNOW your dog knows what the dog "knows". Just because a dog did it once, does not mean it knows it all the time and in every situation or distraction. They are smart...
