My name is Journey. Those who are close to me call me Bunny. I'm a lover, a thinker, a dreamer.I am me, that's all I can be. I'm not going to conform to what you think I should be. I stand up for what I believe in. No one can change me.
In July 2011, I went to Japan, not as a tourist, but by living with a Japanese family. I had the chance to see how the country and people actually function as a nation, outside of the pop culture that most people think Japan is about. When I was there, I truly fell in love with their country, and I hope to return again very soon. Now that I'm back at home, it feels like something is missing. In the future, I hope to eventually teach English there.
I made this YouTube channel for my friends in Japan. We used to teach each other dances when I was there, it was a great way for us to bond without a common language. Now we stay in touch through videos.
Since I was 12 years old, I've spent my time studying the Japanese culture and language. I can say that I'm genuinely passionate about the Japan, though it's not my only interest. I have a life outside of Japanese things too. I did not dicover Japan through anime, nor do I have an interest in it. I don't randomly throw around words like "konnichiwa" and "kawaii" in my daily conversation. I speak English 90% of the time.
Please don't ask me what my favorite anime is. I can't stand anime. If one of the songs I dance to are from an anime, it's because I like the SONG, not the anime.
Aside from doing these dances in my spare time, I like to hang out with my friends, go on walks, shop, play with my cats, color, and listen to music. But my biggest passion is filming and editing movies. I just love getting that perfect shot in time with the music. I wish I had a higher quality camera so I could get better results.
