@mthivier Actually, residency/fellowship salary is only about $35k to $40k a year.
Residents are often not allowed to take vacation, sick days or even lunch breaks. When I was a general surgery resident, my boss told me that I could only call in sick if I was a patient on a ventilator in the ICU.
