Hey everyone, welcome to my Youtube page. I am a drummer and made this profile in order to post drum covers and stuff. I love music in general but drumming is my passion, and I can also play piano and a bit of guitar. I think it's really important for musicians to be well rounded.

Tuning/Muffling:
Snare:
I tend to try experiment every now and then with the tension of the top head, but I always keep the resonant head tight for maximum response. I tighten the snares so there's not much buzzing but it's not choking the drum. I muffle the batter head with a single moon gel. I usually tune the top head to around a C note and the bottom to around a B.

Toms:
These were the hardest for me to tune. I found out that the G2 tom heads that I'm using sound best with kinda a loose tuning; they sound choked with no overtones if I try tune the toms high. I try get both batter and resonant head to the same pitch. For all toms I use an Evans E-Ring on the batter head for muffling. I tune my each head on the toms to a fifth octave in C#, meaning from floor tom to high tom my tuning for the heads is low C#, F#, high C#. The reason it's tuned in sharps is because I've found that when you tune both heads the same, the drum ends up being 3 half steps above the pitch that you tuned each individual head. So in reality my toms are: low E, A, high E.

Bass Drum:
Pretty simple. I use the thicker foam ring that comes with the head and tune both batter and resonant just past wrinking point, meaning I tune the heads as loose as I can make them. I use an Evans EQ pad with resonance gate in the bass drum for muffling the batter head, and a shirt or similar object to muffle the resonant head. I use a Remo Falam Slam kevlar patch, it gives a more crisp attack sound, and I use the plastic beaters.
