It's all good fun. Like Men at Work meets the English Beat. If only all contemporary music was so much fun.

it just shows that great songs lift the tides of even average bands, still nicely done.

It really is a kind of perfect (but deeply flawed) movie. It is Adventureland without the the cutesy stuff.

Its great...but the dance remix is even better...

Watch the movie "The Krays" and you won't find the Kemp brothers so "adorable".

Speaks to a very specific time in my life. 1994, Asia, and heartbreak. Still, the time was a brief oasis and never forgotten.

It is easy to make fun of 1980s pop, but for a generation that loathes nostalgia, I can only pray that this and other great tracks of the early MTV era survive.

All I know is that my 6-year-old daughter loves this song...commercial or not, you must love it!

@kiddoruckus u r too right. I think the genius of the new wave has been totally lost. As good as Adele or Franz Ferdinand (just for example) are, the period b/w 1983 and 1987 is among the best but seldom recognized.

It's true. Despite the cheese, the 80s were a simpler, more beautiful time.

I was working this fest and got to be like 4 rows back for NY (as a Canadian that pumped me and my mate at the event). Good fun! Not really a classic show, though.

The funny thing is that a group like the SMITHS that on paper simply does not make sense would never fly today. Thanks to GOD for the 1980s where such things were possible.

These guys were probably the most talented group in Britain in 1990s and it's such a shame they never made it bigger - if they had maybe they would have been able to keep it going. Still the 2 LPs are simply great and they are forever frozen in time. Nice video by the way. Fits them nicely.
