BIOGRAPHY
Born in Montreal in 1989, Justin Ledoux grew up in Montreal's West Island. His love of music began at a young age at his grandparents' home, where a beautiful Yamaha piano sat silently for years. Even though he could not see the notes, Justin stood tall on his toes just to touch them.
Growing up, Justin's interest in music developed and grew into a great passion. At the age of 11, Justin began singing lessons at the conservatory of music in Pointe-Claire, Quebec. His first concerts were held at the Pointe-Claire Holiday Inn, and at West Island College (WIC), where he studied and graduated.
Justin continued to study singing under soprano Maïna Utzmann, a former student and stage partner of Natalie Choquette. Justin's path led him to meet pianist Florence K (www.florencek.com) and together they recorded both his first and second demo at Planet Studios. Today, Justin has the opportunity to study with Johanne Raby, owner of l'Academie Johanne Raby in Montreal.
After several years in the music world, Justin performed his first solo concert, taped live at the Lion d'Or on January 30th, 2007. Accompanied by John Roney on piano, Morgan Moore on bass, J.S. William on guitar, and Jim Doxas on drums, the show was entirely produced by Justin, from promotion to performance. Not only did that memorable night provide an opportunity to work with John Roney as musical director, that night officially inaugurated his career in show business.
Almost one year later, Justin launched his own business, Luxart Productions, affectionately named after his father's business, Luxart Communications. Shortly after, he was approached by the Coordinator of the Montreal Royal, a professional basketball team member of the ABA (American Basketball Association), to sing both the American and Canadian National Anthem at the opening of their games.
While studying and working at his father's business as a graphic designer, Justin is currently conceptualising his original material that promises to demonstrate his broad spectrum of talent. In collaboration with musicians, Justin will interpret his own texts that will touch many styles like Pop, Jazz, Rock and R&B, and aspires to please and surprise everyone.
Some of his most intimate dreams include becoming internationally known for his voice and talent, to sing with the great Celine Dion, to have his own recording studio, and to live life musically.
