Hi Everyone! I'm Jim Manning. I'm originally from White Plains, NY and now I live on the border of Somerville/Cambridge in Massachusetts. We specialize in making all of your guests feel comfortable. Whether its a your child having a birthday party for the first time, a very excitable group of youngsters who can hardly wait to get balloons, or some very important guests whom you need to make an impression on, our performers are trained to manage quite a variety of situations, and do so in an entertaining manner.
I am an extroverted birthday party entertainment provide in Boston. I'm originally from New York and now I live in Cambridge, MA with my wife Sonya. I'm a family entertainment expert, professional Santa Claus and amazing balloon artist (or balloon twister, as we're sometimes called.
But, when I was a child, I was not entertaining and I was not extroverted. I was a scared, lonely kid who didn't have a lot of friends. I spent most of my time alone, and it really hurt that I couldn't connect with other kids. I'll never forget the day that all of the other boys in my 3rd grade class got invited to a birthday party and I didn't. It was an awful feeling.
I think that's why I've always been good with kids. As I got older, the one thing I could always do better than anyone I knew was to keep a group of kids entertained. So when I got laid-off from my last real job, started traveling the world and one day found myself making balloons for these really cool Aboriginal children... and loving it!, I knew exactly what I was meant to do: Entertain children. Birthday party ideas have always come naturally to me.
When I got back to the US, I got every book and DVD I could find on entertaining and how to be a great balloon artist in Boston. I went full time with my business 2 years after starting it (thanks in no small part to the support of my wonderful fiancee, Sonya). And now I'm a family entertainment expert. I perform 300 times a year at birthday parties, libraries, school shows and as Santa Claus. I was nominated by Nickelodeon as Family Entertainer of the Year. I've appeared on The Today Show, MSNBC and the cover of the Boston Herald. I love what I do, and I love to provide kids' party entertainment in Boston.
