Of course eating meat is justified if that is your only food source. The moral dilemma comes into play when we have many plant-based food choices and we are still choosing to take a life for our taste buds? Our omnivorism means we're capable of eating meat (useful from a survival standpoint if that's all that's available), but our bodies aren't geared for it to be a normal, significant part of our diets. Its been proven that humans thrive better on a plant-based diet: The American Dietetic Association is the world's largest organization of food and nutrition professionals states vegan diets are healthful and nutritious for adults, infants, children and adolescents and can help prevent and treat chronic diseases including heart disease, cancer, obesity and diabetes. http://www.eatright.org/Media/
You can watch 'Farm to Fridge' under my 'BULLETINS' to see what happens to most of God's animals that are used for food. If you agree that God is against factory farming because of the cruelty that happens to his animals, so then you can conclude that God is against Christians eating animal products that comes from factory farms which is the majority of animal products. The way animals are treated today makes a mockery of God's love for them.

10 BILLION 'food' animals are brutally tortured & killed each year in the US. Christians thank 'God' for this before they eat. Most Christians seem to be so CALLOUS to the suffering of God's animals that are used for food, but they treat their pets like spoiled children.
Jesus did NOT eat animal products that came from INTENSIVE FACTORY FARMS where they keep animals so confined & tight that they can't even move around. Jesus would be appalled by the degree of suffering we inflict on God's animals to indulge our acquired taste for their flesh. God created animals with needs, wants, feelings, and species-specific behaviors that factory farms completely deny them of. It is an abomination against God how animals are treated on factory farms. Do you approve: http://www.meatvideo.com GREAT Christian insight how God's animals should be treated: http://www.all-creatures.org/c
Google: BATTERY CAGES confine five to 11 hens. With each hen given less than half a square foot of living space (an area less than a standard 8.5" x 11" piece of paper), she is unable to walk freely or even fully stretch her wings. Do you approve of this type of confinement?
